Welcome to Dearing Elementary! Opened in 2014, our school honors Leonard and Audrey Dearing, who were dedicated community members. Leonard was a former president of the Pflugerville ISD Board of Trustees, and Audrey was instrumental in establishing the local library. Our school embodies their spirit of community and dedication to education. Join us to be a part of this inspiring legacy! Eagles Soar!

Our Elementary Music program sparks a love for music in young learners, providing a strong foundation in musical concepts and skills. Through singing, instrument playing, and movement activities, students explore rhythm, melody, and harmony in an engaging and supportive environment. Our curriculum emphasizes creativity, cooperation, and basic music theory, helping students develop their musical abilities and confidence. With opportunities to perform in concerts and school events, students experience the joy of music while building a sense of community and accomplishment.

Our Art program fosters creativity, self-expression, and critical thinking. Students explore a wide range of artistic mediums and techniques, from drawing and painting to sculpture and digital art. My kids have been at Dearing since 2017 and we love it! It has been incredible. We have a strong sense of community and support. The teachers are so supportive! It's clear they love what they do and love the students.

I have had four kids attend Dearing. The Staff and Teachers are so kind and welcoming it is now my favorite school campus to Substitute at! Everyone at Dearing is so welcoming and helpful! The front office staff always has a smile for you. I’m amazed how they always know everyone by name.

I love giving to my students. It is through giving to them that I receive the gift of knowing that I have enriched their lives. I like the infectious desire to learn of the students.
